About Tanger Center
Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts will be a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of approximately 3,000. The venue will be located in downtown Greensboro at the site surrounded by North Elm and East Lindsay Streets and Summit Avenue renamed Abe Brenner Place.
The Tanger Center is projected to host nearly 150 events per year and will be managed by the staff of the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. The Tanger Center will host a diverse variety of events including concerts, Guilford College’s Bryan Series, Greensboro Symphony Orchestra performances, comedy shows and all types of family entertainment including:
- Guilford College Bryan Series
- Conventions and family shows
- Greensboro Symphony Orchestra
- Other live theatrical productions

H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, one of the country’s premier designers of public spaces, was selected as the project’s Design Architect and Rosser International Inc., was named the Lead Architect. The design team will also include Triad-based firms Moser Mayer Phoenix Associates of Greensboro and Walter Robbs Architecture of Winston-Salem. Skanska USA along with Rentenbach Constructors were named as construction managers at-risk for the project.
